I received my 20w D1 Pro about 30 day after I ordered it. Production was backed up, but I am happy to wait for such a great product. I put it together in 30 minutes by watching the video by a YouTube channel. I am now exploring all I can do with the machine and love ever minute of it. I would recommend it to anyone that has a creative mind.

Love it. This is my first laser. Does everything I want it to. Haven't tried to CUT glass yet, but maybe. Went together easily. Do yourself a favor and make or buy an enclosure with an exhaust fan of some kind.
I'm having way too much fun with this thing.

Was looking at new wood brand with the woodworking I do and they wanted $300 for a good electric one with my company logo. Well decided it was time to get a laser engraver instead for a bit more and I am very happy. Only took me about 30 minutes to get it assembled and burning the first project. Still learning the settings with different woods but have it burning my logo into my projects and so much more. Had it about a month now and even created a couple signs and have ideas for a lot of other things that go well with my woodworking projects. Already thinking about getting the extension kit and the air assist!

I call all my machines - sewing machine, embroidery machine, Cameo cutter, etc. TOYS! I have been playing around with it - trying a bit of this and a bit of that but now feel comfortable with it. It does a great job on the little things I've tried now that I'm beginning to figure out how to test materials and learn what the settings can be changed to do. The tool itself is a great little thing and I'm looking forward to the software catching up to it. In the meantime, I pretty much use my Silhouette software to prep things then transfer to XCS for processing. As a newbie to lasering, I can really recommend this as a great place to begin learning. (I'm very happy with the safeties built in to prevent accidents - like the cover and the auto shut off if the cover is opened!)

This is pretty much a "must-have" when cutting with the laser and air assist. The air-assist makes the laser more efficient and cleaner cutting, but tends to blow through the cut and create an air cushion under the project which could allow it to move (if not using this panel). The magnets that come with the panel are great to align repeat projects, and keep the material stable.

Works great so far with one exception - mugs and coffee cups with larger than normal handles will not rotate fully so it does have some limitation. Make sure your mug handles are not too large. Otherwise it functions perfectly.

I was definitely hesitant about spending the money on a machine that I didn’t know anything about or if it would work for me. I took the leap and got the D1pro 20W and now I’m very happy I did. It’s been a learning curve but I’ve been able to make some really nice items. Starting to feel confident in what I’m doing and hoping to start selling soon.

I have put off buying a laser for many years. I do have a cnc plasma table and a cnc router, and other machines, but for whatever reason, I decided to WAIT to get a laser.

I must tell you that there is ONE HUGE PROBLEM with this machine. It is TOO MUCH FUN!!!

I have added the extended frame, the air assist, the honeycomb grates, the rotary accessory and the leg extensions. I bought a three-stage HEPA filter from Amazon to control the smoke and fumes for indoor cutting. I added drag chains to the machine which I purchased from Amazon, to control the cables and air hose.

I am already planning to buy ANOTHER X-TOOL D1 PRO machine very soon. I will mount it to a 50" x 100" aluminum frame made from 8020 extrusions, and it will be able to burn an image into a full 4x8 sheet of plywood! I also purchased the 1064nm Red Infrared laser module so that is something else that I am anxious to experiment with!

The X-Tool is a very good VALUE, and it is built well. I run it with LIGHTBURN Software which is sold by another company.

I bought the D1 10W with the Ra2 attachment. It is simply amazing. Easy out of the box setup to doing my first project in an hour with no experience. The Ra2 is the exact same. Took a second to figure out the orientation but once it was set it was easy to do my first tumbler and even a baseball.

I received my D1 a little over a month ago, and I absolutely love it… I haven’t stopped creating since 😃

It was easy to set up and use. It does a great job getting the smoke and smell out of the window and I like how everything is enclosed making it safe for curious kids. My only worry is that they won’t continue to improve software and start charging for services like glowforge.

I'm a newbie to laser of any sort, the first day I lay eyes on the xtool machine I said I'll have to get one. I ordered since July 26 would've gotten it in a week but on my path I messed up with the info but the communication was good. I started up today and it went well thanks be to God. I loved the original xTool D1 but the extensions have really taken the creativity to the next level. I was hesitant at first to install the extensions because I had become so accustom to the original work space. However, once I did get it assembled, I immediately saw the potential of what could be done. I look forward to making some really cool, larger projects.

The online assembly instructions were spot on. A little more clarity on updating the firmware would have been nice but I got it figured out.
