MetalFab: xTool Metalfab features a 1200W CW fiber laser, ideal for cutting thick metal (up to 12mm) and welding (up to 5mm). It also efficiently removes rust/paint and can perform some metal engraving. Suitable for metal prototyping, custom sign cutting, sheet metal work, and auto repair.
F2 Ultra:Equipped with both a 60W MOPA fiber laser and a 40W diode laser. Best for users who want maximum versatility in materials and processes. Supports color marking on metals, deep engraving, cutting, and processing on non-metal materials.
F1 Ultra uses a Q-switched fiber laser, equipped with both a 20W fiber laser and a 20W diode laser, a single camera, speeds up to 10,000 mm/s. Best for standard metal marking and entry-level needs.
xTool F2 Ultra can cut brass and stainless steel up to 2 mm, silver up to 1 mm, and gold up to 0.2 mm. Since laser processing is subtractive, precious metals like gold and silver may experience minor material loss, so we recommend considering this before processing. For example, cutting a 1 mm brass name necklace with F2 Ultra takes around 6 minutes.
xTool F1 Ultra can cut 0.4 mm brass, 0.3 mm stainless steel, and 0.2 mm aluminum sheet.
F2 Ultra can engrave almost all materials. Metals like gold, silver, aluminum, stainless steel (with multiple colors), platinum, titanium (with multiple colors), and others. Non-metals like wood, acrylic, plastic, slate, glass, paper, cardboard, and others.
xTool MetalFab can cut/stainless steel, aluminum, brass, carbon steel, galvanized sheet, titanium, nickel alloy, magnesium.
Welding and cutting capabilities:
- The 1200W welder can weld up to 5mm stainless steel/carbon steel, while the 800W model handles up to 4mm.
- The 1200W welder can cut (handheld cutting) up to 5mm stainless steel/carbon steel, while the 800W model handles up to 3mm.
- When paired with a CNC cutting platform:
- 1200W: Burr-free cuts for 5mm stainless steel, 4mm aluminum, 3mm brass, 10mm carbon steel/galvanized sheet. Cut Max. 12mm carbon steel with dross.
- 800W: Burr-free cuts for 3mm stainless steel, 2mm aluminum, 2mm brass, 8mm carbon steel/galvanized sheet.
Design differences:
- The 1200W welder includes a free wire feeder, while the 800W model has a built-in wire feeding mechanism and is lighter in weight.
Yes, xTool MetalFab supports engraving on stainless steel, galvanized steel, titanium, and coated metals (e.g., anodized aluminum). It supports vector engraving, vector filling, and bitmap filling. Just use XCS for one-click parameter setup!
