K9 crystal is a high-clarity optical glass commonly used for laser subsurface engraving. Its transparency makes it a popular choice for laser engraving glass, 3D crystal engraving, and custom glass gifts.
We supply laser engraving glass blanks in a wide range of shapes and formats — crystal blocks, crystal balls, heart and faceted ornaments, crystal trophies, glassware, and crystal keychains — ideal for personalized gifts and custom orders.

Inner engraving a 3D image inside the crystal while leaving the surface perfectly smooth. It uses a UV laser — such as the xTool F2 Ultra UV (355nm) — that focuses energy to a precise point inside the glass, creating tiny internal microfractures without touching the surface. In xTool Studio you set the mode to Inner Engraving, enter the crystal's shape, dimensions, and refractive index, import or AI-generate a 3D model, then choose dotting or scanning and run. Unlike surface etching, it needs no coating or pre-treatment.

Surface etching frosts the outside of the glass. Start by cleaning the glass to remove oils and dust. A CO2 laser can etch glass directly, while a diode laser needs a coat of laser marking paper or spray so the beam is absorbed. Then import your design, apply the recommended power and speed, and run — adding a rotary attachment for cylindrical pieces like tumblers or wine glasses. Full guide → How to engrave glass?
Yes. Diode lasers can engrave coated or prepared glass surfaces. However, before engraving, you need to apply a coating—such as laser marking paper—to the area you intend to engrave.
Power and speed settings vary by glass type, thickness, and machine. Test on scrap glass and adjust settings based on the recommended machine guidelines.
