The 5W IR (1064 nm) laser is designed for metal marking/engraving with crisp detail and depth on most metals, including: stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium alloys, plated metals, anodized aluminum, gold, silver, and platinum.
F2 currently works exclusively with xTool Studio (formerly XCS). It does not support LightBurn at this time.
xTool Studio runs on Windows and macOS, and combines design, layout, parameter settings, and machine control in one beginner-friendly app.

Wonderful laser and portable for my events. The camera is awesome addition for lining up designs.
This has been great so far. Enjoying learning the process - and there is a learning curve but it’s been really good. The XTool software has helped. Having templates available to start is an appreciated option. In ~2 weeks, I’ve gotten my own workflow figured out. I’ve engraved leather (hat patches, cigar cases, wine boxes, and bookmarks), glass (Glencairns, rocks glass), white and black tumblers, slate coasters, and cut wood earrings.
Everything has been really cool, super unique, amazing gifts.
This was sort of an entry point to see if I liked/was capable of some projects. I am already excited to continue this journey and hoping to add a CO2 (P2S or P3) to the “fleet” as soon as budget allows.
I have been loving this machine. It is small enough to be easy to carry around, and powerful enough to engrave most everything. I have not had any issues yet, and the way it's been working, I don't expect to.
