PRODUCT INFORMATION

Okoume plywood is known for its strength, durability, and attractive grain pattern. It is created by gluing thin sheets of Okoume veneer with waterproof adhesive. The layers are stacked with the grain of adjacent veneers perpendicular to each other and then pressed together under extreme pressure. This creates strong, durable plywood that is well-suited for furniture and other woodworking projects.
It is recommended to use the Beige White Masking Tape to apply to the plywood before laser processing to minimize the blackening of the plywood caused by the laser process, and to obtain the best results. Also, Beeswax Wood Polish is the perfect partner for creating plywood decorations. It can effectively clean the wood surface, while filling the wood texture, making the wood color brighter and shinier. It effectively prevents the wood from drying and cracking, fading, and prolongs the service life of furniture.
Attention: It is recommended to always run a test before performing the actual laser cutting project. When laser cutting thick Okoume plywood, it's advised to use high power and multiple-pass at a high-speed setting to reduce laser dwell time and heat-affected area to minimize the burning edge. For your ease, we've prepared this ultimate guide to laser-cutting plywood.
Attention: Please allow a ± 1/2 inch variation for length and width sizes and a ±1/50 inch variation in thickness.

I took advantage of the BOGO sale around the end of 2024, and am happy that I took the chance on something I'd not heard of before. It is surprising I can't seem to find pre-set settings for it in XCS (it is xTool Select) but that hasn't stopped my experimenting with it. Nothing major yet, but the quality of the wood feels better than the Baltic Birch plywood I started with. More warm tone to this wood naturally. I will consider replenishing it when my current stock runs out for sure.

I like the size of the wood and it works well with my D1 Pro.
