Material: Basswood plywood are lightweight, strong, and easy to cut and shape, making them a popular choice for various projects such as furniture-making, cabinetry, and other laser cutter projects. Made by stacking several thin sheets of basswood veneer with the grain of adjacent layers perpendicular to each other to increase its strength.
It is recommended to use the Beige White Masking Tape to apply to the plywood before laser processing to minimize the blackening of the plywood caused by the laser process, and to obtain the best results. Also, Beeswax Wood Polish is the perfect partner for creating plywood decorations. It can effectively clean the wood surface, while filling the wood texture, making the wood color brighter and shinier. It effectively prevents the wood from drying and cracking, fading, and prolongs the service life of furniture.
Attention: It is recommended to always run a test before performing the actual laser cutting project. When laser cutting thick basswood plywood, it's advised to use high power and multiple-pass at a high-speed setting to reduce laser dwell time and heat-affected area to minimize the burning edge. As with the 12x12 sheets, the 12x24 are the best you can get. No warping, they all look so good. XTOOL does the best with these sheets. Too random if I buy from Amazon or Temu.

The wood came very well packaged. Not all the pieces were flat from my order. A couple of them u could really see the curve, but it is wood and will warp. The finish is great, and the edges are clean cut as well. I have had no issues cutting or engraving on these pieces. Overall, I would buy this again.
