Material: Basswood plywood are lightweight, strong, and easy to cut and shape, making them a popular choice for various projects such as furniture-making, cabinetry, and other laser cutter projects. Made by stacking several thin sheets of basswood veneer with the grain of adjacent layers perpendicular to each other to increase its strength.
It is recommended to use the Beige White Masking Tape to apply to the plywood before laser processing to minimize the blackening of the plywood caused by the laser process, and to obtain the best results.
Attention: It is recommended to always run a test before performing the actual laser cutting project. When laser cutting thick basswood plywood, it's advised to use high power and multiple-pass at a high-speed setting to reduce laser dwell time and heat-affected area to minimize the burning edge. really 3mm and cuts clean

I have used different brands of 3mm plywood.
The 3mm basswood plywood from xTool is the best. It cuts clean, and it is really 3mm thick.
I ordered also 3mm basswood plywood from Amazon, but I received 2.5mm, so for boxes I have to redo all the slots... This plywood did cut clean though.
I also used big box plywood, not basswood. And that cut with a lot of charring.

So in the end I prefer ordering the 3mm basswood from xTool.
