This is a must have, it makes engraving tumblers so much easier!

The xTool M1 riser kit is functional and aesthetically complementary to the design of the laser housing. The components are nicely constructed, particularly the honeycomb which fits quite accurately in several positions. One concern is that there really isn't much holding the riser and M1 together other than the weight of the M1 itself — moving the set after assembly isn't recommended: the setup will collapse in upon itself, possibly resulting in damage to the laser. An inadvertent push or, forbid, shaking from an earthquake could result in worse damage. My remedy for this is a custom base which fits under the two risers — it includes four posts and a frame onto which the riser base fits; The engineering permits some movement (felt pads on the bottom of the frame, though the posts prevent the two riser sides from moving, thus making the whole assembly relatively solid and resistant to the above-mentioned collapses.

The riser base and air assist take the m1 to new levels. I’m able to do taller items and cut cleaner than without the air.

If you have to slide it or bump it it tends to fall apart. a little tape around the back seems to help.

I am completely in love with my Xtool M1, I want to do many projects with it… I bought the Riser Base because I want to do engraving on Tumbler and the truth is that 5 stars is very little for this wonderful machine
