Business Card Set (204pcs)

These business cards are an attractive way to stand out from the crowd if you have a laser engraver. They are definitely on the thin side - they're actually thinner than my normal business cards, and you get the sense that if you didn't treat them carefully, you could give yourself a gnarly metal papercut. They're smooth and nicely finished, though, with a medium-gloss black finish over a silver metal substrate.

I engraved these cards with my Full Spectrum Laser Muse without issues. I found that the 1.5" lens produced better results than the 2.0" lens, and 1000dpi engraving was worth the extra time investment. Engraving on 100% speed, 100% power worked well; I likely could have actually reduced the power as well, as the material was fully vaporized.

When the black coating is removed, the silver metal that's revealed is not entirely uniform in color - it has a light texture to it, as you can see in the pictures. i think you'd be best served with these cards by keeping your designs relatively simple - these are better if used to get a big impact from minimalist art, and extremely fine detail might be challenging for your eyes to resolve.

These are a great material at an affordable price, packaged well by XTool. Recommended.
