I have been struggling with burn marks on my projects for a year. Then I read an article about the XTool’s enclosure and what a HUGE surprise. It is light weight and has completely stopped my burned marks. It is is a small investment for total piece of mind and a great addition to my 20 watt workhorse

I found I was looking in on the laser, and while I was looking thru the shielded portion I was concerned I might not one day so I opted for the enclosure. What I found is that it protected those walking in unaware that I was operating a laser. So it's better than a good idea to enclose the laser- it should be a mandatory safety feature.
I'm very happy with the xtool enclosure, although I haven't tried it with only the included fan as I've added a 4 inch inline fan to the exhaust duct pipe. With my setup, virtually all visible smoke and smell is extracted to the outside
